Come with me...

Do you want to go with me and to visit Espot?

When I need to relax me, I go away to Village of Lerida( Catalonia-Spain) called Espot and really I get to disconnect of my city, Barcelona.

Sometimes I go with my friends, others with my family ( nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law), and others only with my partner but I always get to enjoy.

I always have recommend the place to friends who dont' know it and who goes there returns other times. For that, every time is greater the number of my friends who visit this one amazing place every year, at least once a year we organize a meeting there.

Now I'll give you some information of the village for you know it a bit.

Espot belongs to the local Court of Tremp and the County of The Pallars Sobirá. It located in the valley of the River Escrita, it has a Romanesque Bridge over this river.

It is a traditionally village for its strategic situacion.

It's to 7 kilometres from a general road, this way has many bends, until a few years ago it was unaccesible.

Its infraestructures are fantastic for the development of tourism as much in winter time as in summer time.

It's a winter sports resort called Espot Ski ( before Super Espot), this place has been

the revulsive that has needed this charm village for improved it acceses by road.

I skiing occasionally but I like very much to see who do it very well, it's fantastic.

From Espot we can reach the National Park of Aiguestortes and Sant Maurici,

These are some images of this one fantastic place, but the the best is the sensation of freedom that you feel when you are there.
Normally the people go up to the National Park in Taxi (jeep), but I like go up walking when the weather isn't very cold.

We can visit more 20 lakes all they of a glacial origen, like The Ratera, and mountains like Amitges, Pui de Linya.

Other one of the many local charms are their buildings constructed of slate, stone and wood.

Deserve to see is the landscape when it snows and this one holy week has snowed very much, here is the proof.

In the way to Espot, close to Espot, we meet the village of Sort, known all over the world because in it's the famous administration of Lottery "The golden witch" , the people to queue to buy their lottery of christmas. This year I will have to go that to do another visit to the village because until the end of June they don't have it. I hope that we're lucky and that everybody in the English class can travell to London at least a week.

IT'S ALL FRIENDS...

If I had to tell you all the wonders of this one place would never end, for that at the moment this is enought, if anybody wants to know something more of these place, has to visit it and to enjoy it...

A VISIT TO "COMA-RUGA"

This Holy Week I decided to go to "Coma-ruga",and although the weather was cloudy, I enjoyed very much finding out things of this village and walking along its beach.

"Coma-ruga" is a village of the "Costa Dorada" that belongs to the town council of "El Vendrell". And it has a nice beach of seven kilometres that is one of the favourite destinations of the Spanish families when the summer comes.

Other tourist villages as the Vendrell and Calafell are close to it. To 20 kilometres we find Tarragona.

The immense beach of "Coma-ruga" has on its coast "La Reserva Marina de Masía Blanca", which is characterized by his calmness, the transparency and good temperature of the sea, and by the high percentage of iodine that contain its waters, that are specially healthy.

In fact, in the nineteenth century it was discovered that the water that gushes of the "Estany Termal" of "Coma-ruga" has medicinal properties. And there was contructed a luxurious spa, which meant the beginning of the urban development of the nucleus of "Coma-ruga".

Nowadays, the water of the "Estany Termal" goes up to an ornamental exterior source, after that it goes on to the "Estany" and goes up to the "Riuet de Coma-ruga", which ends in the beach. It is habitual to see persons of all the ages taking baths in the "Riuet".

The name of "Coma-ruga" comes from the calcareous rocks of which is gushing the water of the "Estany termal", because the rocks makes up a small depression of the land, called "coma".

Other places that you can visit if you go to "Coma-ruga" are the house museum where the brilliant musician Pau Casals was born, the house museum "Ángel Guimera", the Archaeological Museum, the "Arco de Bará"...

To have just known the area, I recommend its typical meals like the "xató" (a salad), the "coca enramada", and typical desserts as the "bufats". And, as not, the wine of the region of "El Penedés".

VISIT TO SITGES

This weekend I have gone to Sitges, a fishing village. It's situaded in the region of the Garraf, it's close to the Mediterranean sea. I like very much walking along old town, and to enjoy its beach from the church San Bartolomé.

Yesterday I was enjoying the beauty of maritime walk in a terrace of a bar and to my side were sat two English ladies, and the first thing that came to my mind was that it could be the ideal place for to practise my English and near house.

It has a wide cultural, gastronomic and playful offer all the year round.

I recommend you its visit, you won't repent.
